On the evening of Tuesday, November 24, the EPAC family learned the devastating news that there was a fire at our theater. We are grateful for the quick response of our community, as well as our local fire companies and partners in responding to the emergency, containing the fire, and limiting the damage to our beloved home. We are so thankful that the damage was limited and contained to one area of the theater and that the damage will in no way prevent EPAC from continuing into the future.
This has been a difficult year for EPAC as it has been for many. We are a strong community, family and team. We will absolutely get through this together and will return when we are able to safely do so.
Here is a quote from one of our supporters, Hope O’Pake, who wrote the following on our Facebook page this morning: “Though it is a devastating blow, we all know a theater is so much more than the structure. It is the people, the art, the spirit and the family sense of community that make it a living entity. EPAC will rebound and soar with a renewed vibrancy through the commitment and passion of all.”
EPAC will always be more than a structure. We can’t thank our volunteers and supporters enough for the outpouring of support since learning of the fire. The abundance of love today has been overwhelming and a beautiful Thanksgiving gift. As our gift to you, let us invite you to watch “Santa’s Surprise Party”, an EPAC original production, which will premiere tomorrow night for free on Facebook and YouTube at 7:00 p.m. We were so excited to still share this with you and we will not let the events of last night damper our spirits.
