The EPAC on The Edge Reading Series is seeking pitches for its upcoming 2019 and 2020 seasons.
EPAC on the Edge producer, Alexander P Bannon, is seeking directors to pitch titles for the third slot in the 2019 Queer Voices Reading Festival. The season will celebrate the LGBTQIA+ communities with readings of three different full length plays that will showcase the growing representation of these communities in the American theater. The two other selections are The Boys In The Band by Mart Crowley, directed by EPAC Artistic Director Edward R. Fernandez, and Significant Other by Joshua Harmon, directed by Alexander P Bannon. The third title is to be performed Sunday, June 23, at 2 pm as the closing production of the reading festival.
We are also taking pitches for the 2020 season. At this time, there is no theme for the season, nor set dates.
For reference, some previous titles in the series have been A Behanding in Spokane by Martin McDonagh, Marjorie Prime by Jordan Harrison, and Appropriate by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.
EPAC on The Edge seeks to bring lesser known, previously professional produced works to the Lancaster theater community. The series brings plays that are thought provoking and examine the darker side of human nature to new audiences.
